Most pregnancies happens without complications. However, it is essencial to identify
pathologies during this period to prevent maternal morbimortality. The goal of this paper was
to describe the historic of complications on pregnancies, selfrefered, among living women in
Administrative Region Estrutural City, Brasilia/DF. It was done a descriptive transversal study.
The data collection ocurred in April of 2017, using a structured questionnaire. It asked about
anemia historic, urinary tract infection (UTI), high blood pressure and gestational diabetes
(DGM) in the last gestation and 82 women (49%) reported at least one of these problems. In
the study, 21,5% reported UTI, 20,9% anemia, 8,9% high blood pressure and 8,9% DMG. We
characterized as high the frequency of pathologies on pregnancy. These findings point to the
importance of continued investment on prenatal actions qualifications approaching the
identification of risks and pregnants health education actions, to promote self care in the
postnatal gestational cicle.
