ABSTRACT

When attracting a large number of spectators, it is important to understand how fans respond and how subjective well-being is influenced by the team they support. Thus, this article analyzes the behavior of the fans in relation to the heart club. Analyzing how wellbeing manifests itself through fan behaviors is one of the goals of describing behavior, verifying the cause of behavior, and identifying which ones are the most frequent. This is a descriptive and explanatory research, having data collected through interviews with three fans from each of the four clubs considered best by the Paulista Football Federation. From the results, based on Seligman's Theory of Welfare, the five basic elements, positive emotions, engagement, meaning of life, positive achievements and positive relationships, it can be shown that football influences the subjective well-being of fans.
